There is no animation in this clip. But it is an amazing test, just goes to show how important it is to know where your audience is looking. It totally fooled me.
The bear blends in with the background and black team because his colour (brown) has a similar toneal value. The white characters and ball stand out.
I good way to test this in your own work is to take a frame from your scene and set it to grayscale. Once there is no colour its much easier to see where the most dramatic tonal changes are in the image. :)

Horrah, it didn't fool me! Then again I pay attention to really stupid things sometimes.
That's a really good ad, even if it isn't animated, it is clever.
I like it!
By why a moonwalking bear?
I think it has a lot to do with tone.

Hey that's a great idea, I'm gonna try that!
Thanks Ian ^__^
Wow, that was amazing. Being Ian's age, and not a multi-tasking data-sponge child of the Noughties like Dana, I missed the bear totally!
"a multi-tasking data-sponge child"
I do believe that I have never been called that before, I like it =D
