Two films that really shatter the idea of 3D animation having a particular look. Pour Nos Jeunes has a kind of water colour feel to it, while at times the Sandman put me in mind of an old oil painting.
As far as I can work out Pour Nos Jounes is a mix of 2D and 3D. The 3D being the big pink marshmallow cloud people. From my limited 3D learning apparentley it's tough to get a good toon render. So they must be pretty talented to get a watercolour render.

Hmm I recon it might all be 3D Frank. Could be wrong though.
The layouts are 2D images projected onto backdrops in the 3D stage environment?
I have to sit in front of a screen with you so you can show me how it's all 3D. I can't get my head around it.
