Games industry could be even bigger
I'm often mistified by the apathy many students express (or don't express) about politics. Maybe this article will produce some interest...... well I can dream can't I.

The comments from the Screen Producers Association representative are infuriating. The idea that film and television are more deserving of funding because of their "social and cultural value" is plain rude.
Maybe it's just me, but when I watch TV, movies or play games it's for the same reason: to be entertained. I've never thought to myself "man I really feel like watching something of social and cultural value right now".
I agree, Big Brother get government funding. How is that higher in cultural value than a computer game. Its basically based on the Sims anyway isn't it?

Watch for the PFTC logo in the credits.... now thats sad.
Not that I Am suggesting you watch Big Brother, my daughter has subjected me to it.
