Sam and Max -The next chapter

Back, yearrs ago, a computer game came out called 'Sam and Max Hit the Road' . It was a 2d game with a dog and rabbit cop, who wandered about in crazy locations and had quite alot of funny one-liners. Alot of the animation was traditionally done....and it was based on a series of comics. (actually I"m not sure what came first, so correct me if I'm wrong.)

Anyway, there has been a new version of the game released this year, Episode 1, and there is now a preview for episode 2, due for release next year. This time the characters are in 3D.
Here's a link to the official 'preview' of Episode 2. If anyone has played the new game, I'd love to know what you think of the animation, and of the game itself. (and how it compares to the original ) By the way, the preview is slow to load.

I haven't played the new episode but those old lucasarts games were so much fun. The strange logic needed to solve puzzles made it all the more rewarding when you worked them out.

yes, hahaha, they were lots of fun and just plain bizarre! Never played Monkey Island, but I did play Maniac Mansion, Day of the Tentacle, Sam and Max, ...and I remember seeing Full Throttle but never played it. All those lovely 2d animated games. Must have given work to alot of traditional animators at the time. Even if you delve into other genres at the time, Leisure Suit Larry, to name one, used alot of cartoon animation.
