:-0 how did they do that?? They must have had the whole thing planned out so well, including times of day and shadows...... shot the bunnies to exact times of day only,(with no people) then matched the live action shots (in pixillation) after that seperately. Getting people to react as if there was something there maybe? Whatever they did, it's astounding..but probably only something you can do now with the wonder of modern compositing. Wow!

Hopefully a "making of" video will turn up, but if it's like the other Bravia ads there'll be no tricks of compositing at all. Like their bouncing ball ad where they actually released hundreds of thousands of balls down a San Francisco street, I'm guessing this is all real, as hard as it is to believe.

As if it wasn't mind-blowing enough already.

Lo and behold, here's a glimpse of the making of it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=47kPUbjRW1c

And here we are stuck working at a computer.

ahhhh, replacement bunnies! that makes it a bit more possible, but even so.....trying to line up the light (that alley way shadow moving as the bunnies pass through) wow. And all the people involved too, being pixellated. As you said Sam, be nice to be out in the sun for a while instead of in front of a computer :-D Nice to see stop mo/pixellation being used like this. I wonder how many bunnies each of the 40 animators were responsible for?
