Adam Philips at Work

Check out these great clips of legendary Australian Flash animator Adam Philips.

Some things to note....

You can see in the first clip that he has worked with a shorthand (rough) version of the character to get the movement right before adding the detail.

In the second clip you can see the use of colour harmonies to create a serene feeling. Also he is using tonal values to imply depth and give the environment a greater sense of scale.

In the third clip you can see that Adam animates in the dark and will probably be blind by the time he is 45 :P
