Blog of the Kells

Here is a blog documenting the production of an animated film in Ireland. If you read through the posts over the recent months you will notice the theme of "Oh my god I'm so busy" and then there aren't any posts for September at all. That's life in feature animation, I always think its funny when I hear animators in Brisbane telling horror stories of what its like working down at Animal Logic, saying its a sweat shop and stuff like that. Of course they work hard they're making an animated feature film, to expect otherwise is like expecting it to be easy to push a boulder up a mountain on your own.
That shouldn't scare or depress you, it should fill you with anticipation and excitement. You should feel like you have no choice but to be involved. Could you really do anything else? Even if it was ten times harder than you can possibly imagine, would it make any difference? Would you change your course of action?
