After You

I've haven’t been able to find any note worthy 3D work on any of the free download sites for a while, I'm having to look further a field. (Ya just can't get good value for no money these days) This one is OK, with some nice character acting and a clever little twist at the end.

If your wondering why I'm posting in Black text, its because for some reason this link stops working when I change the text size or colour. (go figure?)

It looks like to me that hes got all his princibles right but perhaps not the timing.

Isn't timing one of the most fundamental principles?

It looks like to me that hes got all his princibles right APART from the timing.

Am I right? Is it the timing?

You might have to be a little more specific, what do you think is wrong with the timing clay?

hmm... I guess I think its to slow sometimes... perhaps he needs to open up the graph editor (AHH!)... such as when he first points out the door.. his hand looks to float rather than have any direction. maybe

So you think the spacing of the inbetweens is a bit even and maybe there could have been some more extreme cushions and ease outs? I don't know if I can say you’re right or wrong, there are moments where the characters move quickly (like when the blue guy get mad), so there is some variation in the timing. The fact that it is "punchy" at times indicated to me that the animator was aware of what he was doing with regard to timing. Perhaps a safer statement would be that you would have pushed the timing in some of the early scenes so that the poses had more impact.
