Monthly Pic Winner 03

The most improved worker for last month was Natalie, and here is her pic. I love the fact that Natalie is doing so well, I don't think she will mind me saying (will you Natalie?) that she didn't arrive at Tafe with the best illustration skills in the class, but thanks to the fact that she shows me lots of line tests and talks to me heaps about her work she is improving every week. If she keeps this up I predict she will be among the best in the class by the end of second year. It just goes to show how much it has to do with communication, hard work and being constructive as apposed to this vague thing called talent.
I must say I find it odd the way I'm almost always asked to draw serious things when people win this prize (I've been asked to draw monsters, skelitons, tanks, and soldiers). If someone who learnt to draw at Disney offered to draw a picture for me, I think I would try to come up with something that would capitalize on their skills. But the deal is that the winner gets to choose their own subject for the picture, so it is up to you.
Next I'll be doing another pic for the Improve That Drawing Page....
Stay tuned!

The deal is the winner gets to choose and I'm happy to keep going with that. Its not a big deal.
